San Bernardino, CA – A gorgeous German shepherd puppy is facing an unfair demise at a California animal shelter. The 11-month-old puppy, Veruca, has been at the San Bernardino City Animal Control since Sept. 28 and she is quickly running out of time.
Her advocate writes:
Veruca, a 10-month-old German Shepherd with a soul-piercing gaze, is facing a tragic end at a high-kill shelter. Her young life, full of potential and promise, is set to be cut short tomorrow. This sensitive and intelligent girl, who should be experiencing the joys of puppyhood, is instead feeling the fear and loneliness of a shelter cage.
Veruca is a beautiful dog, who is full of potential. She deserves to be enjoying her young life in a home, with someone who appreciates her devotion and intelligence. She does NOT deserve to be facing death.
