Baltimore, MD – For more than four years, a now elderly cat named Jane has been waiting for her chance at a forever home. The senior cat, who is almost 13 years old, is with the Animal Allies Rescue Foundation.
On Wednesday, the non-profit organization said:
Jane has been with AARF since February 2019. Yes, you read that right. Over four years of being passed over, of waiting to be chosen, of getting older.
The animal welfare agency said that Jane was the sole survivor of a severe hoarding situation where she was found nearly starved to death. But those bad days are in her past, and now she is ready to enjoy the best part of her life, with someone who loves her.
The rescue group said:
Jane is a lovely, 12yo dilute tortie who has one job: lap. A purrfect companion who purrs nonstop, this chatty kitty will talk up a storm and come when you call her name. She can co-exist with other cats, but is a loner who would do well on her own. Naps, sunbathing, and waiting to dutifully curl up next to you for affection: that’s what Jane is all about.
This beautiful lap cat would do best in a quiet household, where she can soak up all of the love that she deserves.

If you are interested in giving Jane a home, you can fill out an adoption application here.
If you are not in the position to adopt Jane, you can still help her by sharing her story.
