Woman Saves Senior Dog From Jaws of Alligator

Tampa, FL – Last week, a Florida woman successfully wrangled her senior dog free from the jaws of an alligator. According to sources, Kim Spencer’s dog, Kona, nearly fell victim to a large alligator who emerged from a lake near Tampa.

As reported by Fox 13 News, in a split second, the gator lunged from the lake and grabbed hold of the nine-year-old dog, whose head was in its jaws. She recounted the terrifying incident to the news agency, “She’s facing it, it’s facing her, and it jumped out and got her. She was in up to here; her whole head was inside its mouth. I stopped thinking and just dove on it, jumped on it and straddled it, as lady-like as that is, and was trying to pry its jaws open.”

Against all odds, the gator released Kona from its grasp. Spencer and her dog received injuries, but they survived.

Kona survived thanks to her owner.

Trappers captured the 6-foot alligator after the life-or-death encounter. No word on its fate.

“Hero mom” was blessed by God when she got Kona. God did good.

Both were blessed by God when He saved them both. God did very good!

“Hero mom” proved “Hero God” made the perfect match by giving her Kona. She proved her love for His special gift. God Was Blessed!!!!

If everyone would protect & love the true gifts that animals are meant to be.

God bless Kona & her “hero mom.”

Happy that Kona and Kim are safe! THATS what a true animal lover would do for any animal let alone their own pet! Great job Kim!👍👍👍👍👍

I’m from Saint Pete, Florida and I am so tired of gators killing all the pets and coyotes killing all the pets.
