Renton, WA – A tragic fire claimed the lives of 11 bunnies at a Washington state animal sanctuary. The tragedy happened earlier this week in the bunny barn at the Sammamish Animal Sanctury.
In a Facebook post, the animal welfare agency said that the manager was at the property Sunday night and smelled smoke. When she went to the bunny barn, she discovered that it was “fully engulfed.”
The cause of the fire has been linked to a “freak electrical” accident.
