Heidelberg Township, PA – Public outcry after a sickening display of animal cruelty led two people to surrender to the authorities in Pennsylvania. According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, the people caught running down a red fox on their snowmobiles will be facing charges.
Thanks to awareness through social media shares, comments, and overall public outcry, the suspects involved with the animal harassment incident reported earlier this week, felt enough pressure turned themselves in to authorities.
Charges will be filed, and restitution added to those charges.
The duo, a 17-year-old and a 20-year-old, were caught on video harassing a red fox for more than 30 minutes last week. The pair chased and ran over the fox, who has not been found.
The abhorrent behavior resulted in four criminal charges for each person involved; their names have not been publicly released.
