Hamilton County, IN – For over a decade, a beautiful tabby named Fiona lived a comfortable life with her family. But her life was turned upside down when her family of 12 years brought home a kitten.
According to the Humane Society of Hamilton County, Fiona was surrendered to their facility because she did not get along with the newest member of her family, who did not give her the time she needed to adjust to the monumental change.
The agency said, “She tried to express her stress the only way she knew how—but instead of patience and understanding, she was surrendered to the shelter. After more than a decade in one home, Fiona lost everything.”
Describing her condition upon intake:
When she arrived at HSHC, Fiona was in rough shape—covered in fleas and a painful skin infection that made her itchy and uncomfortable. With the love and care of our team, her skin has healed, and she’s finally starting to trust again. She may not be a needy, in-your-face kitty, but she has so much love to give. She enjoys lap time on her terms, chin scratches that make her purr like crazy, and a peaceful, predictable environment.
Expressing their desire for Fiona to find a loving home for the remainder of her life:
Fiona deserves stability and love in her golden years. She’s been through so much, but she’s still hopeful that the right person will walk through our doors and give her the second chance she deserves. Are you the one to give Fiona the forever home she’s been waiting for?
