Baldwin Park, CA – An elderly dog, in the twilight of his life, is facing imminent euthanasia at a busy California animal shelter. The 15-year-old dog, Chewy, is being held at the Los Angeles County Animal Control – Baldwin Park facility.
An advocate writes:
Chewy, a sweet 15-year-old male poodle, has been heartbreakingly abandoned in a high-kill shelter. In what should be his most cherished days, this senior dog now faces fear and loneliness in the cold confines of the shelter. His clouded eyes reflect the pain of abandonment after a lifetime of loyalty, and now his fate is uncertain. He deserves to live out his final days in comfort, not fear. Time is running out for Chewy, and he desperately needs a home where he can feel safe and loved again.
It is a cruel twist of fate for an elderly dog to wind up behind bars in the final portion of their life. Chewy deserves better. Please share his adoption information to help save his life.
