Hamilton County, Indiana – Meet Benji, a sweet, overlooked dog who has been waiting at an Indiana animal shelter for over a year. Benji is the longest resident at the Humane Society for Hamilton County, and for reasons unknown, very few people have shown any interest in him.
On the Fourth of July, the animal welfare agency attempted to generate interest in their long-time resident, writing, “Benji needs his Independence Day. Benji needs a home. He has been patiently waiting for so long with very little interest. He is such a sweet boy that just wants a person to call his own and a home to rest his head.
Sparks will fly when you meet Benji for the first time. We know he may not seem like it if you walk past his kennel, but he is so excited to meet you. Give him a chance, you won’t regret it.”

According to Benji’s adoption profile, he is a huge fan of bacon, loves large stuffed animals, enjoys walks, and is VERY smart.
You can lend this deserving dog a hand by taking a moment to share his adoption information. Somewhere out there is someone who will be absolutely perfect for Benji…that person just needs to be found.
