North Little Rock, Arkansas – A reward is being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person(s) responsible for stuffing a young cat in a mesh bag and abandoning her.
The cat was found near the Caterpillar plant off Faulkner Lake Road in North Little Rock – a good Samaritan called for assistance after finding the distressed cat trapped in the blue mesh bag. Community Cats of Central Arkansas wants to know who is behind the cruel act.
On Monday, the group posted to social media:
‼️‼️REWARD ‼️‼️
If you’re the jerk who threw this cat in a bag on the 440 ramp off Faulkner Lake Rd in NLR, then you’re a piece of trash. It was tied up so tight in direct sunlight and couldn’t even move. Whoever did this deserves to be tied up suffocating in a bag.
‼️REWARD if someone knows who did this.‼️

Sarah Richardson, administrator for Community Cats of Central Arkansas, tells KARK News, “It was so tied up and knotted that she couldn’t even move, so in that case, it’s just straight abuse.”
Life begins anew for the abandoned cat, now known as Caterpillar. She will be spayed and put up for adoption after she has recovered. The group writes:
She will be available for adoption once she’s spayed next week. We’d love to find her a home that will treat her like royalty. She deserves the best after all she’s been through.
