Palm Desert, CA – A beloved Amur Leopard at the Living Desert Zoo passed away at the remarkable age of 21, making her among the oldest of her species in the world. According to the zoo, Zoya was a cherished member of the zoo family, and beloved by zoo visitors, who liked searching for her in the lush trees, or perched on the tall rocks.
In a release, the zoo said:
We know she inspired countless people to develop a passion for wildlife and conservation, brought attention to a critically endangered species, and sparked joy in everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
