Devore, California – A beautiful German shepherd, just three years of age, has been slated for euthanasia at the San Bernardino County – Devore Shelter. The dog, Sara, is listed as “urgent” on her adoption profile and it is noted that she has an upper respiratory infection (URI) and is coughing.
Sara was picked up as a stray near June & 1St Ave in Muscoy just 10 short days ago and already her life is in danger of being ended.
The gorgeous dog is in the prime of her life. She should be spending her days in a home; with the person she loves. Instead, she is in a lonely kennel run, sick with an infection, surrounded by other stressed, homeless dogs, and waiting for someone to choose her – waiting for someone to find her worthy of saving.

Please share Sara’s adoption information. Time is of the essence. All inquiries MUST be directed to the shelter facility. National Animal News is NOT the point of contact.

I hope your appeal worked Karen I feel the same. PLEASE someone take Sarah home and love her; she deserves nothing less! No animal should be just wondering about and unwell; so sad! I am in Canada so not much help either.
Absolutely neglegent State with NO REGARDS TO ANIMAL HEALTH & WELFARE!
They all have URI! I wonder where they get it from! How about fucking clean your shelter!
Have you ever walked into the office at Devore, it smells horrible. You know they get money in a budget for cleaning. They must spend it on themselves for something.
It is the responsibility of all shelters and agencies, to help and re-home all animals under their care. We as humans have a Moral responsibility to help and care for animals discarded by ignorant irresponsible people, who discard them. Laws need to be changed to protect animals from these morons, as much as can be done. All pets should be neutered and spade to protect those purchased from other families puppy litters which should also be licensed to allow puppy litters. It is the making of humans that allow this to continue, without concern for those animals already in shelters through irresponsible ownership. Un fettered, it will only continue until responsibility takes hold.
“No results found” when searching her animal ID number on 24 Pet Connect. I hope that means she was rescued, not that she was put to death.
To the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s office, Thank You.

The dog is probably sick from the shelter and it’s lack of proper care and cleanliness, and now, instead of fixing what they caused, they are going to kill her? California is the worst state for animals in shelters, they like to kill them all. California needs to sink into the sea.
Absolutely You Are Correct !
California is considered a Loosing State by us in Texas. it has an INCOMPETANT Governor thats why & its Oot Of Control with Illegal Immigration
