Las Vegas, NV – The body of Dr. Shawn Frehner, the veterinarian who was caught on video kicking a horse, was found late last week in Lake Mead. Frehner was missing since April 6, and an extensive search was conducted by multiple agencies
The disgraced veterinarian’s body was found on April 18 near the Boulder Islands within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.
Prior to Frehner’s disappearance, he issued a public statement and apology for kicking a colt in the head at the property of Shawna Gonzalez. He wrote:
“I did not blatantly haul off and kick this horse as it appears in the video. That was not my intention at all,” Frehner wrote. “It was done simply to get the horse in a better position so that he could breathe and get up and move so I could again try to anesthetize.” Before acknowledging that he did indeed kick the horse. He said, “But yes I did kick him right in the chin and I very much do apologize and wish this never happened.”
As reported by KLAS News, Frehner’s veterinary license was placed on a year-long probation in 2016 by the Nevada State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners.

Glad he’s gone from this earth. The horse should have never been kicked in the heard. Where the heck was the owner of horse while the vet was there to watch and make sure his horse was being treated well.
Geesh, you people are harsh. Especially since you didn’t know the circumstances of the situation.
Do you believe a father who throws his child upside down and then proceeds to smack him hard on the back deserves to be beaten and tossed in a lake, too?
What if it’s to save the child’s life? What if this was to save the colt’s life? He said the colt couldn’t breathe. 🤔🤷🏻♀️ What do I know about getting colts to breathe again? (I mean, I know you don’t kickstart them, but how heavy are they to move? Was this a newborn-it sounds like it? Was the vet exhausted from birthing it, so using his feet was the only way he could move him?)
Bad karma came for him. I’m pretty sure he is in that special place called he’ll that was waiting for him. He deserved bad karma.
Justice at last. All animal abusers must have the same outcome that this vet did
Yes!
While I don’t rejoice in the death of any creature, whether human or not, I think it’s safe to say this is karma.
That’s the best news I have heard for quite some time. I sincerely wish that all animal abusers would meet a similar fate in an equally timely manner. What a wonderful world this would be.
If only all animal abusers could quickly have this outcome.
He saved the state some money by getting offed by a good samaritan.
KARMA!
If onIy aII animaI abusers couId be found dead in a Iake
Justice was served!
I hope he was tortured extensively and then murdered. Hopefully, he suffered the same pain he gave to this poor horse, and who knows how many other animals he mistreated!
I hope the drowning was painful and prolonged. I hope that prior to drowning, he was beaten, repeatedly and kicked in the chin which cause a broken jaw. Hell, I hope he was set on fire first and then beaten senselessly, had a broken jaw, and could not keep his mouth closed when thrown in the water, and then died a slow and painful death.
GOOD! I hope someone kicked him in the chin…numerous times…before throwing him into the lake.
