Detroit, Michigan – The Detroit Police Department have said 29-year-old Jordan Love is facing charges for the non-lethal stabbing of her dog. According to the authorities Love stabbed her dog multiple times in February and then fled the state.
In a release, the department said:
Following an investigation by the Detroit Police Department (DPD), the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office has charged Jordan Love, 29, of Detroit, in connection with the non-fatal stabbing of her dog.
Recounting the crime:
It is alleged that Love stabbed the dog multiple times. It is also alleged that at approximately 1:30 a.m., on February 7, 2025, the defendant posted a video of the injured dog on social media. Sometime thereafter she fled from Michigan.
Love was located by authorities in Greenville, South Carolina, on March 20, 2025, and extradited back to Michigan where she was charged with Animals – Killing/Torturing – Second Degree, which carries a maximum penalty of 7 Years and Abandoning/Cruelty to Four to Ten Animals, which carries a maximum penalty of 2 Years.

I am glad DPD is doing a good job of finding the person for this horrible crime and bring it back to face charges and hopefully he is convicted with a lengthy sentence but please call it what it is and that he is a he.

The dog is alive and thriving, thank goodness! After posting his FB Live video, the poor dog suffered for at least a good 8 hours before police could locate this person and take possession of the dog. From what I have read, the dog was found down in the basement, left there to die. He also stabbed a cat in this process. Leg was amputated.
Cruelty for multiple animals, could increase her sentence multiple years of prison, if they charge her by the number of animals that were abused
