Fort Worth, Texas – Days ago, a grievously injured kitten was rescued from a dumpster behind a Dollar General store in Weatherford. Someone had placed the injured kitten in a bag, which was put into a sealed box and thrown away like unwanted trash.
Animal Control rescued the kitten and one of his legs had to be amputated. Another leg is seriously injured, and Saving Hope Rescue is doing its utmost to save it from being amputated as well.
On Friday, the rescue agency wrote:
We tried to take him right away but it’s a cruelty case and they had to hold him as evidence. They did have the leg that was destroyed beyond belief amputated but another leg is in a splint (needs unwrap, x-ray and make sure it’s wrapped properly) and might need surgery to save it. It’s also oozing now, which is not good. The are releasing him into our care now.
We are calling him Sammie and we have a rescuer on her way to transport him to our hospital. We are sick to our stomachs over this one and we want to fight as hard as we can for him. He needs this leg. He’s already lost one.

Authorities held a living critically injured kitten as evidence?!?! I call that cruelty, please prosecute the authorities as well. We all know they are not going to do anything to find the human excrement that did this, & the authorities added to this kitten’s suffering. Make them pay too.

I just wonder if that kitten was not a CHRISTMAS gift for children to abuse.. so many animals are being found in horrific condition. and kids aren’t taught how to take care of animals to them they are things to play with and no consideration they are “breakable” and are living creatures not to be abused!

Pure evil is on the loose out there; yet it’s not major news for the networks because “only an animal.” People make me sick.
