Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – A Texas man is facing multiple charges for abandoning a puppy outside of the Pittsburgh International Airport on March 20. According to the Allegheny County Police Department, 42-year-old Omar Orlando Perez abandoned his Labrador retriever pup outside the airport after he learned that he would be unable to fly with him.
The police said:
Through their investigation, officers made contact with 42-year-old Omar Perez of Texas. Perez initially claimed he witnessed an Uber driver abandon the dog, but it was later determined Perez was the owner and left the dog when he realized he was unable to fly with it. Perez is facing multiple charges to include animal cruelty and animal abandonment.
The puppy was captured and taken into a foster home for care. On March 25, the police department said:
We’re pleased to share this good boy has been placed in a foster home. We’ve heard from a lot of you about adoption, but unfortunately, he is not available at this time. If you are feeling inspired, there are countless animals out there in search of their forever home and we would encourage you to consider reaching out to your local shelter! Thank you to everyone who reached out.

The puppy is better off and hopefully finds a loving forever home. The jerk who is responsible deserves to experience that same level of abandonment in life. Hopefully life throws the worst it can at him.
Individuals such as this one should never be allowed to have animals. They clearly have no idea of the responsibility that comes with having and taking care of one. This guy deserves to be punished for abandoning this poor dog to fend for himself on the streets.
This man’s actions are why EVERY country and EVERY state needs to implement an Animal Abuser Registry!
This is not a “man”. I’m always shocked when these useless wastes of skin are referr to as people. I’m really pleased that the dog has been properly taken care of. We should make sure this dirty sack of shit is “properly taken care of” as well.
