Greece, NY – One month after being struck by a crossbow during a walk with his owner, a dog named Bogart passed away. Bogart was not far from home when he was hit by the arrow which was allegedly shot by James Smith, 56, and Linnette Torres, 45, who were doing target practice in their yard.
Bogart received emergency veterinary care and underwent multiple surgeries to repair the damage caused by the crossbow – tragically, after showing signs of improvement, he took a turn for the worse and died.
According to WROC News, Torres and Smith were arrested and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment. Torres faces an additional charge of fourth-degree criminal mischief.
