McDonald, Pennsylvania – On March 26, someone abandoned a box containing a mother cat and her kittens, at a park in McDonald. According to the McDonald Police Department, the box holding the feline family was sealed closed.

The police are hoping to find whoever is responsible for this cruel incident. In a social media post, the authorities said:
McDonald Police are looking for any information on this vehicle that was seen leaving the east end ball field on 3/26/2026 at 6:54 am where a sealed box containing a mom cat and kittens any information on this incident call 724-926-2105

The abandoned cat and kittens were taken to the Nose 2 Tail Cat Rescue for care. The rescue group said:
This week we welcomed a mom cat and her four kittens who were left in a box at a local park. Thankfully, they are now safe in foster care. 🩷
Situations like this are heartbreaking, but they also point to a larger issue. Many people simply don’t know where to turn or don’t have access to affordable resources.
Spaying and neutering is the only real solution.

Surely with cameras everywhere nowadays, a license plate could be gotten. Looks like the houses are close to the street. Has LEO tried to see if any cameras captured the license plate?
