Philadelphia, PA – Another day has come and gone. Another day that nobody decided to open their heart and home to a sweet boy named Smokey.
The Pennsylvania SPCA writes, “It’s another Tuesday for Smokey. Another day of waiting for a family, but yet another day of no one showing up. This sweet boy has been waiting just like this for four years. His journey may be long, but we know difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.”
Imagine watching people come and go, day after day, and they never choose YOU to leave with them. Imagine living the majority of your life in a shelter kennel run. This is Smokey’s reality.
Someone familiar with Smokey shared insight to his personality and behavior, writing:
What’s even sadder about Smokey’s duration of stay is that he’s a really good, loving and very smart dog. He never met a person he didn’t like. He handles his walks around the city beautifully, and he has great house manners. (We overnighted in an Air B&B.) So what if he should be an only dog? He’s the onliest dog you’ll ever need or want!
Please share Smokey’s information to help him find the home that he needs and deserves!
