Update from the Midlothian Fire Department: Final Update – Thank You for Helping Us Search for Riggs******
It is with heavy hearts that we share Riggs has been located. Sadly, he was struck by a vehicle and did not survive.
While this is not the outcome we had hoped for, we are incredibly thankful for the overwhelming support from our community. From those who helped search, shared posts, handed out flyers, made donations, or simply kept Riggs in their thoughts—your kindness and compassion meant the world to us.
Riggs was more than just a station dog—he was part of our family. We will miss him deeply.
Thank you again, Midlothian, for standing with us.

Irresponsible fire department!!! Idiots!! Glad I don’t own a home around there; they would probably watch it burn down while texting on their cell phones:(. This pup shouldn’t have been walking on a major roadway!!! RIP precious pup:(
According to social media, he was struck by a car and passed away. RIP sweet Riggs.
What was Riggs doing heading toward a major roadway? How irresponsible of this fire department. He should have been walked daily and kept close.
If something happens to Riggs; this fire department is at fault. They didn’t take good care of him. .
This story/information should be on the local news stations!! Get the story out there so maybe someone sees it that might notice a “new dog” at someone’s house, yard, or someone walking him. He is a beautiful dog! Should easily get attention from everyone that sees him.
