San Bernardino, CA – A gorgeous Belgian Malinois puppy has been held at a busy California animal control agency for months. The pup, Sydney, has been at the City of San Bernardino Animal Control facility since January 22.
Despite Sydney’s obvious beauty, and her purebred status, she has remained unclaimed – which puts her at risk of being put down. With every day that passes, her chances of making it out of this facility alive diminish.
On February 11, a shelter advocate said:
It is TOO CROWDED in these kennels. City of San Bernardino Animal Services dogs need your help please. This is #a575478 Her listing erroneously states she is in foster, but she’s been in this kennel for at least 2 weeks and the shelter hasn’t updated the listing. She is only about 6-7 months old. She arrived on 1/22/25 and is still available for adoption or rescue.
Weeks have passed since that post was made, but Sydney is still at the facility – waiting in her lonely kennel – her depression growing with each passing day.
This is an intelligent, athletic puppy who is languishing in a confined space – her mind and body unused. She is undoubtedly bored and depressed – she should be enjoying a full life with a family, but she is not.
Please share Syndey’s adoption information and help her find a home.
