Baghpat, India – A six-year-old child was saved from a sexual assault thanks to a troop of monkeys who seemingly intervened on her behalf. As reported by The Independent, the little girl was playing outside when she was lured to an abandoned house by a stranger on Saturday.
Before the man could follow-through with his untoward intentions, a group of monkeys “aggressively” charged him, stopping the assault and causing the suspect to flee. The child told her family that the monkeys saved her.
The child’s father expressed gratitude for the monkeys’ help, “My daughter would have been dead by now if monkeys had not intervened.”
The local authorities are working to identify and locate the perpetrator.
