Fort Lauderdale, FL – On Sunday night, a man encouraged his dogs to chase and kill a beloved neighborhood cat in Fort Lauderdale. According to ABC 17 News, home surveillance video shows a man with off-leash dogs encouraging them to chase and attack a cat who was scared off of a car before being fatally attacked.
In the video, the man can be seen throwing something at the cat, causing him to jump off of the car; the dogs proceed to chase and attack, causing fatal injuries. Now, the Broward Sheriff’s Office wants to find the man.
The victimized cat was one of many cared for by residents in the neighborhood. His name was Ringo and he had been cared for by people in the neighborhood for two years. His body was found on Monday morning.
