Fort Lauderdale, FL – On Sunday night, a man encouraged his dogs to chase and kill a beloved neighborhood cat in Fort Lauderdale. According to ABC 17 News, home surveillance video shows a man with off-leash dogs encouraging them to chase and attack a cat who was scared off of a car before being fatally attacked.
In the video, the man can be seen throwing something at the cat, causing him to jump off of the car; the dogs proceed to chase and attack, causing fatal injuries. Now, the Broward Sheriff’s Office wants to find the man.
The victimized cat was one of many cared for by residents in the neighborhood. His name was Ringo and he had been cared for by people in the neighborhood for two years. His body was found on Monday morning.

good ole florida. boy the hits keep coming from that state. i hope they find this masked scumbag and just choke him out. he doesn’t deserve to breathe . i also hope that they don’t kill the dogs because if it wasn’t for the asshole the dogs would have did nothing. they always suffer for the morons who care for them.
I’m so disgusted with the state of Florida. There’s so many hideous and cruel people here destroying the lives of animals. This is my home state something has to change. Animal abuse is rampant everywhere though. I know I work with a cat rescue. People will dump pedigree cats for no reason you can imagine what they do to run-of-the-mill Alley cats. Somebody knows who did this… let them face the consequences. I hope they charge a huge fee and jail time. It was premeditated because he knocked the cat off a car. This guy is a piece of shit and deserves no mercy

My heart hurts for Ringo’s caretakers. I have also lost too many of my feral cats over the years to bad dogs owned by even worse people.
I hope they’ll find the man and his dogs who killed Ringo, and the sooner, the better. Because otherwise, the man will only continue to encourage them to attack and kill cats, and pretty soon it’ll become habit for them— they’ll be cat killers even without their owner encouraging them to do it. I hope these dogs will be able to be rehabbed or at least placed into a responsible home with no cats or small children.
If I lived in this guys neighbourhood and I found out who he was he would be meeting with an unfortunate “accident” one night. People like this who get pleasure from animal cruelty deserve a permanently debilitating punishment way beyond what the law will impose and that is the problem- the law is toothless when it comes to animal cruelty and varies from state to state. It should be a federal law to give it more consistency and would be applied with more vigour. Until then animals will continue to suffer from assholes like this with impunity.

This coward that made his animals kill a weaker animal is an idiot a fool. Please someone out there if you know who he is, he needs to face justice. This helpless cat did not have a chance when it came face to face with a human coward. If this man thinks he is so superior, so strong – prove it, go to war buddy, fight another human being. Killing an innocent cat is beyond cowardly.
This violent criminal deserves….deserves to be ripped to shreds. What kind of Satanic “thing” preys on innocent, posing absolutely no threat to him or dogs, innocent life. Find this guy. Sue him penniless….he is the reason rescue centers are needed, he needs to make big donations. He needs to endure the extreme pain, panic poor Ringo endured. This is heartbreaking.
