Lancaster County, SC – A young dog who was seized from a cruel situation is sitting in a kennel run at the Lancaster County Animal Shelter where she is petrified and frozen in fear. According to the Voices for Lancaster Animals Facebook page, the dog, dubbed Birdie, came to the facility with her siblings, but one of those dogs is already gone:
This pathetic little girl was brought in by way of AC with 6 others due to a cruelty seize. One of her siblings has already been euthanized 😔💔.
Explaining the extent of Birdie’s overwhelming fear:
Birdie is just plain terrified. She shrinks herself into the furthest corner of her run, frozen and shaking in fear. This sweet little thing needs out before she meets the same fate on the shelter floor 🥺.

The dog is a pit bull mix. Labeling her a boxer is a joke. When will bully breed owners and breeders stop the madness? These dogs are born to die. Either at a dog fight or an unplaceable breed. No. Not all pit bulls are aggressive – but they aren’t dangerous until they are. Then the consequences are horrific for people and animals.
Pit bulls are loyal and loving and will always be my favorite breed. They are only a reflection of how they are raised and if you raise them with love it comes back a million times over!! It’s people who are monsters!!!
Agreed!! We have 3 rescues pitbull mixes, LOVE these guys best dogs I have, we have three other purebred dogs miss behave always fighting in some kind of trouble. I love them too, but there’s some thing about the purple mix will always be my favorite breed will always be near and dear to my heart all that came to me, want to euthanasia list, their loving, affectionate, loyal🐾❤️. So sad these guys always pay the price first abused confiscated now on death row or soon will be 😡

what absolute nonsense. I know many pitfalls and they are the most loving adorable dogs. Many wont fight no matter what you do (hence the need for caution when adopting them out as Dog Fighters use them as bait dogs)….. Why on earth would you write something like that & try to have this dog’s death made more certain. What kind of monster does that?
How do you know it’s a pit bull mix? When I adopted my dog they told me he was part pit bull and turns out he’s got no pit bull in his dna and is part boxer. He’s a lab mix with boxer in him

I hope they will not kill this little girl. She did nothing wrong. If she was near me in Minnesota I would love to have her. Please give her time to find a loving home. She deserves that.
Sharon-There may be some animal rescue groups that may help transport her to you. Please, if you are really interested start pursuing how you can get her transported to you. She probably needs a very loving person and will end up being the most loyal, loving dog. I have 4 pets right now and cannot add any more. Good luck!!

IT IS A CRYING SHAME no one has adopted her and her siblings OUT OF THE MONSTER’S MOUTH!!!! And by that I mean the pound!!! WHY IN THE WORLD did they put the dogs there, they usually have shelters in to get these dogs, such as the ASCPA!!!!!!!!!! ONE OF THESE GROUPS go and get them it is a life sentence in there and the dog doesn’t get to testify!!!!!!!!!!! SOME of these pounds kill them 1 to 3 days after they come in, which means if they pick up your lost dog they kill it within 3 days!!! WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN you find out they have murdered YOUR DOG with a SOUL!! Yes, everyone of these dogs have a SOUL and they murder them!! THEY give them no help as far as a VET is concerned, they just put them in and charge a low amount for you to buy them!!! I HAVE said quite often on the computer that this is the wrong way to treat dogs!! If a person buys a dog there, and the dog has not been spayed or neutered, then they person that buys the dog may not do that either, and the result is the same!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO KILL DOGS, take them to the VETS, yes, take them to other shelters as long as they are good to them, yes, but NEVER KILL THE DOG, because that dog has a SOUL!!!!!! Would any of you like to die that way?

You’re right — Shelter wants you to believe they’re RESCUING but in fact, in many cases, Shelters KILL — they always have some absurd excuse — instead of getting on board VOLUNTEERS, FOSTERS, ADOPTERS, they choose to KILL — it’s EASIER for a KILLER to KILL than hire others for help — KILLERS should NOT be in Shelters — but there they are — who’s hiring the KILLERS? — How could anyone in their right mind and heart KILL healthy, innocent, lovable, loyal, vulnerable Animal? —
In so many cases, the animal is put to death while the scumbag abuser goes on his merry way to commit more atrocities.
FIRST — NEVER KILL healthy & treatable Animals — NEVER — heartbreaking that Birdie has lost family — WHY ?! — Why was sibling KILLED ?! — Shelters are in the business of HOLDING & PROTECTING — NOT killing — STOP the MURDERS — it’s WRONG & CRUEL — NO excuses — STOP the KILLING.
