Genesee County, Michigan – On Tuesday, October 28, two badly neglected dogs were found abandoned in a Genesee County pond. The German shepherds had been dumped in a wire crate, but they managed to break free. One of the dogs got out of the pond and ventured away to get help, but the other was too weak to leave the water where he had been dumped.
On October 29, the Genesee County Animal Control agency shared the devastating story on social media, writing in part:
According to the animal control agency, the female, dubbed Star, chased after a good Samaritan driving by the area, prompting the driver to stop. The agency said, “The good Sam stopped his truck as he felt that something was wrong. Like something out of a movie, Star led him back to the pond to get help for Ringo. Ringo was rescued and brought to our facility yesterday afternoon.”

The dogs were rescued and taken to the shelter, but the male could not be saved. The agency said:

Ringo, the dog humanely euthanized, had advanced pneumonia and a blockage, as well as other painful, advanced injuries and conditions. The animal control agency explains, “Large, splintered pieces of ingested bone had caused GI perforation, a suspected necrotic stomach, and sepsis of the abdomen. He also had severe, long-standing damage to his right rear leg and permanent dislocation of the hip joint. A septic joint and osteomyelitis (severe bone infection) were also found in the right rear leg.”
Now, a reward is offered for information leading to whoever is responsible for this horrible act of cruelty.

Find this f**king maggot and let me have 5 minutes alone with him/them. How could anyone be so horrifically cruel? I really do not like the world we now live in; so full of cruelty and viciousness towards innocent animals. It is just horrendous and turns my stomach. Toughen up the laws and make these filthy f**kers accountable. Blessings on Star and the good Samaritan for saving both dogs. RIP sweet Ringo, so sorry evil humans did this to you.
