Queens, NY – A group of thieves were arrested after being caught on video stealing a federally protected swan from a park in New York City. The strange crime involved four young men who snatched a swan from Howard Beach – the video shows one of the individuals with the swan in his arms, running towards a car.
The swan was stuffed inside the vehicle and the thieves drove away, laughing.
Thanks to the video footage, which went viral on social media, the group was identified less than 24 hours later by NYC Parks worker Frank Kelly, who reported them to the authorities. The police were able to locate the people responsible, and they were arrested – one, a minor, was released to his parents. The names of those involved have not been released.
The police nabbed those involved and found the swan’s feathers inside of the getaway car, but the swan is nowhere to be found, and people fear that she met with a deadly fate. As reported by the New York Post, there are fears the swan was sacrificed.
Tragically, she had a nest of babies who are left behind and now motherless.
Charges against the swan bandits are pending.

I don’t understand why they can’t get the information about the missing swan out of these pieces of worthless shit.
Take them to an undisclosed location and beat it out of them.
Extreme agreement but plus torture to find out where the swan is and what they did….damn wastes of life, God only knows!

It’s due mostly to all of the animal abuse/torture/killing that is perfectly legal which people willingly pay for, like torturing animals for “research” and in the meat industry.
I am still hopeful the swan will be rescued. Please keep us posted. This is so dispicable that I can barely contain myself. And the worst part, these low IQ idiots will be let loose with a slap on the wrist. If it were up to me, they would get the electric chair.
The fact that MSN wrote about this in such lighthearted almost joking tone is part of the problem. Animal abuse is not funny, and until the media and courts start taking it seriously it will continue.

A FEDERALLY protected animal and her babies have been harmed. These low life punks need to be charged not only for harming the mother swan, but all of her babies as well! The babies are motherless now all because of these stupid, disrespectful assholes. They need to be locked up to learn a lesson because they have obviously not been taught anything at home!!!

This is New York, they won’t do S*it to them, they probably ate her. I’m sure if this was a Red State the cops could get a confession out of them of what they did to the mother swan. But New York, nope..watch they won’t do anything to them, that is why they are laughing and the cops already released the under age POS back to his parents who probably helped eat the swan…he should be in Juvinal hall being raped and beat up daily.
