San Antonio, TX – A senior dog named Prieta is trying to make sense of her world after being surrendered to a busy Texas animal control agency in San Antonio. Prieta is 11 years old and her life is in danger at the San Antonio Animal Care Services facility, where she has been held since her owner handed her over to staff.
On Sunday, the Texas Senior Shelter and Rescue Animals Facebook page wrote:

What the shelter writes about this senior dog:
Comfy blankets, popcorn, movie, cuddles, Prieta? Check, check, check, check, check! We are all a go on move night! Meet the lovely Prieta! She used to be the face of Barkwood. After many hit and nominees she retired but she loves reminiscing the good old days. She is shy at first but once you have her opening up, you can’t stop her. The years have not been well with Prieta and she’s looking for a place where she can place her grammys.
The shelter facility is full, meaning that owner-surrendered dogs will be put down first. Imagine being in the twilight of her life, and suddenly being unwanted and homeless. This is Prieta’s sad reality.
Please share her information and help her find an adopter, or reputable rescue group, before she is gone forever.
