Gold Bar, Washington – Six puppies were saved after suffering a drug overdose in Gold Bar. On Sunday, three unresponsive puppies were dropped off at Sky Valley Fire Station 54. In a social media post, the fire station described the dire situation, writing:
Firefighters found all three puppies were in critical condition with respiratory and full arrest. Firefighters knew that three puppies suffering from same symptoms, the cause had to be environmental poisoning of some kind.
Describing the life-saving efforts to save the pups from certain death:
Crews performed lifesaving procedures, including CPR, Oxygen therapy, and administered Naloxone (also known as Narcan). Also knowing that Fentanyl is one of the major causes of poisoning, when introduced in the air as a powder, it was our firefighters best guess that the puppies had experienced a fentanyl OD.
The puppies all responded to the treatment administered, and thanks to the sheriff’s office, three more puppies were found and saved. The agency said:
Sheriff deputies were able to find the individuals at their home and found three additional very sick puppies and rushed them to fire station 54 where firefighter-EMTs provided additional life saving measures. All six puppies were taken to a urgent care veterinary clinic. We are told all six puppies are recovering.
Thanks to the firefighter intervention and subsequent veterinary care, all of the puppies are doing well. Great job rescuers!!

Thank God to the firefighter angels that saved these babies!! I hope the owners have their asses thrown in jail, forever!!
What big, adorable pups. It looks like the heartless slobs “caring for them” decided to have some fun “getting rid of” them. The idiot that caused an apparently “unwanted” litter of pups to be brought into this world should also suffer some justice. They won’t get what they deserve in this purgatory, but justice will come down on them hard eventually.
“Meanwhile, sheriff’s deputies tracked down the people believed to have dropped off the dogs and found three more puppies that also needed treatment. An animal cruelty and neglect investigation is under way. The pair claimed they were caring for the puppies temporarily, authorities said.”

Well done.
They whom responsible need great serious consequence s for what they did to these innocent !! Prayers for these sweet babies!!
Well done to the firefighters. Fantastic work. Now the cops just need to arrest the scumbag humans for possession and animal abuse. Lock them up and throw away the key.
Thank you to this wonderful group of first responders. Now let’s hold the human trash responsible for putting those pups in that situation.
The authorities need to find out Just Who The Owner/s is/are and be sure to prosecute them to the Full Extent Of The Law!
#1 Last time I checked, Fentanyl is Illegal. Get them for possession.
#2 Obviously, the owner/s weren’t exactly Mensa members for leaving such a Dangerous Substance where those sweet pups could get into it! Anyone who’s followed Fentanyl and its effects know that an amount the size of a grain of salt can kill a 150 lb. person….imagine the effect on a 20 lb. pup! Get them for SIX COUNTS of animal abuse!
