Moreno Valley, CA – A beautiful German shepherd puppy is facing possibly euthanasia at a California animal shelter. The four-month-old puppy, George, has multiple injuries from being hit by a car. Medical reports from the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter show the puppy suffered a dislocated left hip, neurological deficits in both hind legs, and a fractured tooth — likely all from being hit by a car. The most urgent issues are hip stabilization and monitoring for nerve/spinal damage, which may or may not improve with time. Prognosis depends on how the nerves recover in the coming days to weeks.
Though George is in a great deal of pain from his injuries, shelter staff notes his friendly, affectionate personality:
* Super Sweet
* Friendly and affectionate
* Gives kisses and begs for attention
George needs a miracle right now. You can lend him a hand by sharing his adoption information. The goal is for this information to reach a rescue group with the means to fundraise for George’s veterinary care and get him into a safe foster home.

Please pray someone comes forward to adopt George and not kill this beautiful baby. I too wish rescue groups would go all the way and pay for animals to get the care they need. Not just telling people the poor things will be killed, it’s wrong
I don’t understand groups taking injured animals in but not treating injury or illness. Ur not a rescue if you don’t treat the dogs issues!!!!
He’s obviously socialized and young and handsome — reach out to the Shepherd rescue, no kill shelters (especially up north), and even K9 units. This baby deserves to have a long, happy life!
K9 units? A life of pain, fear and trauma. NOT any sort of long happy life. It’s the rule, not the exception. And they don’t want “damaged goods” anyways. George deserves only the best of lives, like all dogs do. Please don’t wish K9 unit on any dog.
OMG that’s awful. I’ve heard of good cops so bonded with their service dogs that they retire together. Unfortunately there are too many sad stories and no animal deserves less than kindness and compassion.
There’s the occasional officer who cares about the K9s, but they’re not popular among their peers. Those bonding stories are mostly PR fiction.

He is so beautiful, despite what happened to his precious ear. Eyes of an angel right there. I wish I was younger and could give him a secure life for 15 years or so. I hope and pray that his most perfect people show up and take him to their wonderful, loving home forever.
