Rockdale County, Georgia – A reward is being offered for information about an animal cruelty case involving a puppy who died after being dumped from a car in Rockdale County, Georgia. The 10-to-12-week-old puppy, dubbed Bo, was taken in by the Semper Fi Legacy Rescue group after getting a call for help from the Rockdale County Animal Shelter.
The group recounted what is known about the situation, writing:
It was witnessed by the complainant, a white accord type car pulled up and dumped this dog out at a gas station in the trailer park and drove off. They couldn’t get a tag number but when they called us, the dog was having a hard time breathing.
On August 28, the rescue agency informed Facebook followers that Bo had taken a turn for the worse, and the veterinarian caring for him believed that he was abused before being dumped by someone driving a white “accord style car.” The group said:
August 28, 2025 we just got the phone call that Bo has taken a turn for the worse! He tried to stand up and fell over! His lungs are extremely bruised and they don’t know if CPR would be a good idea if he were to tank. His breathing is extremely labored. Vet doesn’t feel he is suffering so we are going to fight for him! 💔 Vet believes he was severely beaten and choked multiple times before being tossed out! Jordan is sitting with him now so he isn’t alone!
Shortly after the social media post, Bo passed away.
Now the group is offering a reward for information about whoever abused and abandoned him. On Sept. 2, the organization said:
The reward has now increased to 1,000 with information leading to an arrest!
We are fighting for you Bo! Your life mattered to us and so many others! You didn’t deserve this and we won’t stop until justice is served!
Please share! Someone has to know something!!
