Warren, Ohio – According to Jason Cooke, Founder of the Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for the death of a dog found dead in an Igloo doghouse.
Cooke said the Animal Welfare League received a call from someone alleging that a dog had been abandoned by tenants who previously resided at a residence on Linden Ave. Cooke describes the heartbreaking discovery at the property, writing:
Upon arrival, an igloo was discovered inside of a kennel behind the garage of the residence…no food was present and any water that was present appeared to have been collected from the rain…
Upon removal of the top of the igloo, an emaciated dog was discovered deceased — curled up in a ball…all ribs, hip bones, and spine were clearly visible and an oversized collar bore the telltale signs of a dog that starved to death…
Someone literally packed up their belongings and either forgot, or intentionally abandoned, this dog – leaving her to suffer an agonizing, slow death.

BOTH LANDLORD & FORMER TENANTS NEED FELONY CHARGES .. A LIFE FOR A LIFE PERIOD .
The scum who did this must be caught and punished to the fullest extent of the law! The reward will help a lot in doing so. There is no excuse for this and I don’t believe anyone would ‘forget’ to take their dog with them or at least call someone to take their dog. This poor dog died a horrible death by thirst and starvation!
Hopefully the monster who did this is identified and suffers for it just like that innocent dog suffered. Bless that innocent pup who only deserved love and compassion from this world.

I hate to point out the glaringly obvious, but don’t renters have to provide all their details to be able to rent a house? Is there not a Real Estate Agent in Warren Ohio that can search the “Rental Register” (or whatever you have in the U.S.) to find out who the last tenants were? Then you hunt them down, charge their arses for animal abandonment, animal neglect, failure to provide food/water causing death of companion animal etc. etc. You cannot get away with shit like that in Australia, because everything is documented; which is why it astounds me that I constantly hear about “tenants leaving animal/s behind” and nothing gets done about it. It’s right up there with people who’s dog gets picked up by the Ranger, taken to shelter, shelter contacts owner, and calls are ignored, no one picks up the dog – WTF?? Go around to the “owner’s” house, question them, charge them etc. etc. Maybe if these fuckers were held accountable, it wouldn’t happen so often. Innocent pups like this one, should not lose their lives because of fuckwit Human Filth. Boils my blood.
