Reward: Dead Dog, Locked In Wire Crate, Found In Creek

Clay County, FL – A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person(s) responsible for throwing a starved dog, locked in a crate, in a creek off the St. Johns River.

As reported by ActionNews Jax, kayakers made the grim discovery, finding the submerged wire crate in a creek off County Road 209. Investigators say the dog, a gray pit bull between two and three years of age, was in the crate that was tied shut. The dog was malnourished and wearing a loose collar, but had no ID and no microchip.

  1. Poor dog. This is horrible! Whoever did this is a soulless devil. I hope the monster is found and punished severely.

  2. The wicked scumbags responsible for this think they got away with it, but they did not. Justice in this world is often like a sick joke…but in the next life…well, just wait. The poor dog who suffered horribly before and during death is surely in Heaven forever now.
