Detroit, Michigan – This week, rescuers saved a dog who was struggling in the Detroit River. Michigan Humane posted video of the dramatic rescue effort to social media on Monday, writing:
“Earlier this morning we were alerted to dog in need of river on the Detroit River. Our Field Services team jumped into action, gearing up in wetsuits and braving the icy water to bring the dog to safety.”
The dog was transported to the shelter’s Mackey Center for Animal Care in Detroit.
The agency thanked the Detroit Police Department and Fire Department, as well as Animal Control, for their assistance in saving this dog’s life.

Thank goodness to the Detroit Fire and Police departments!! There ARE good people out there despite the pieces of scum shit that aren’t!!!
