Fort Lauderdale, FL – A puppy who survived nearly drowning in a pool is now in need of a new home. As reported by WSVN News, the 11-week-old puppy, Leo, was saved from drowning in a murky pool on Vermont Avenue last week and rushed to a veterinarian by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue.
Thanks to the department’s supportive care, including oxygen, Leo pulled through. He spent approximately 72 hours in intensive care at VEG ER for Pets. After recovering, his sweet disposition quickly returned, charming everyone he met.

According to the news agency, his former family surrendered him, so now he needs a new family to take him in. People interested in offering this sweet boy a home are encouraged to contact the veterinary hospital for more information.

However DID this sweet innocent dog even get into a MURKY pool in the first place and not being able to get out – either the owners threw him in there with no escape OR the owners just didn’t look after him and neglected him because they didn’t care for his well being. hmmm, either one DESERVES JAIL TIME FOR THIS SUBHUMAN GARBAGES!!!
What ‘ DIRT’ BAGS!!!
SHOULD NEVER LOOK AFTER A ‘LIVING THING EVER” !!!!! THEY ARE COMPLETELY INCAPABLE TO SAY THE VERY LEAST!! THEY SHOULD BE LOOKED UP THERE AND SUFFER THE SAME EXCRUCIATING TORMENT AND NOTHING LESS!!!
21 LIVING, BREATHING BEAUTIFUL DOGS DEAD BECAUSE OF WHAT ‘ THEY DIDN’T DO!!!
Did you ever think that maybe poor little Leo’s family tried drowning him in the first place? They didn’t want the responsibility of making sure he was better! Wonder how they got Leo? It’s apparent they didn’t him. You know who those deranged prior owners were: charge them for negligence at least!!! Jail would be great but we have idiots for alot of these southern judges who side with animal abuse! I hope someone abuses them one day… in a back
alley!
Poor Leo pls keep us all updated on his Status🙏
Obviously the “family” surrendered Leo because they did not want to pay the veterinary expenses for THEIR STUPIDITY FOR NOT PROTECTING THE PUPPY FROM THE POOL. Nothing but HUMAN FILTH. Leo will be better off away from those scumbags.
Ditto!
going to go back to hanging in the country for well that hurt animals so severely and kill him and abuse them and hanging would get rid of them for good You know why waste taxpayers dollars on people like this and murderers You know anyone that kills somebody or kills an animal needs to be hung by the neck…
