Loxley, Alabama – A dog who disappeared two years ago in Phoenix, Arizona, was found deceased in Loxley, Alabama, and the police are looking for the public’s assistance to determine what happened. On Friday, the Loxley Police Department shared a photo of Kiyo, an Australian Shepherd, when he was a puppy.
According to the department, Kiyo was found on May 15 “under suspicious and disturbing circumstances.” Adding, “The dog showed clear signs of cruel mistreatment and/or abuse.” The agency said that Kiyo was reported missing/stolen from Phoenix, Arizona in 2023.
Kiyo’s body was found on County Road 68; a witness in the area reported seeing a dark-colored four-door sedan, possibly a Hyundai, near the location where the dog was found.
