Queens, NY – Police have arrested a man who is accused of setting a dog on fire in Queens. According to sources, video footage of the horrific incident led to the arrest of 29-year-old Isaiah Gurley, who is charged with torture, aggravated cruelty to animals and arson.
The dog was set on fire early last Thursday in the area of 128th Street and 116th Avenue in South Ozone Park. Surveillance video from homes in the area showed the man dragging a dog and then dousing him in accelerant and setting him on fire.
The ASPCA took possession of the dog’s body and is performing a necropsy to definitively determine the cause of death.
