Portland, Oregon – A Portland man is facing a slew of charges stemming from sexual abuse of children and chickens. The “Keep Portland Weird” slogan wasn’t technically meant for people like 56-year-old Iosif Blashishen, but if the shoe fits…Blashishen is facing three counts of sex assault against an animal and two counts of encouraging sexual assault of an animal for his alleged sexual assault of chickens between 2022 and 2025.
As reported by KOIN News, Blashishen is also facing 142 charges, including sexual abuse, rape, sodomy, 67 counts of encouraging child sexual abuse, as well as 67 counts of using a child in the display of sexually explicit conduct. As reported by Fox 11 News, the investigation began on Oct. 6 after detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force received information about recent sexual abuse of young children and the sharing of child sexual abuse material from a home in Wood Village.
The deviant behavior finds Blashishen behind bars at the Multnomah County Inverness Jail where he is being held without bail.

If I found this creep doing this, I wouldn’t waste my time on counting on the police/judge doing anything.

For those of you too young to remember this, Lorena Bobbitt, who now uses her maiden name Lorena Gallo, is a survivor and advocate for victims of domestic violence. She gained global attention in the 1990s due to a highly publicized legal case where she cut off her husband John Bobbitt’s penis with a kitchen knife after years of alleged physical and sexual abuse.
The problem is states like Oregon and Delaware that do little to prevent people like this from continuing what they do even after being arrested. Several years ago a man was arrested for raping a nearby stable owner’s pony. Catch and release, he tried to do it again only cameras had been installed and the perv got himself shot. Both he and the old man who shot him were arrested. Guess who failed to appear? He’s been on the loose for years without anyone doing much to try to find him. I wonder how many horses have paid a high price for humans who coddle sexually deviant criminals.
