Baxley, GA – A lone puppy survived being abandoned in Southeast Georgia. According to Renegade Paws Rescue, four of her siblings were found dead in a cooler and the sole survivor stayed near them until help arrived.
In a social media post, the rescue group described the dire situation, writing:
This weekend, four dead puppies were found in a cooler in Baxley, GA. Another puppy, one small survivor, stayed near her siblings’ tiny decomposing and lifeless bodies.
This picture is distressing but we are sharing it (second slide) because screaming from the rooftops is not enough. Animal welfare in Georgia is beyond crisis level. And nobody is coming to save these animals – no massive agencies, no huge welfare groups.
It is a huge problem in the area – according to the organization, other dead dogs were dumped in the same area.
The puppy who survived is safe now, and she has a name. Cecilia is going to be cared for and loved for the remainder of her life. Please follow the rescue agency on Facebook at this link.

Everyone needs to see firsthand the horrible things that are done every day, everywhere, in this country and every other, to innocent animals. Neglect, abandonment, torture, killing, inflicting suffering intentionally, profiting from breeding and selling, fighting, recording cruel acts for social media. This is not isolated and until we ALL care enough to demand change, accountability, punishment, and awareness and prevention, this will be.missed by most and people will keep doing these things to our companion animals without consequences for those doing it.
I hope they find the monster that did this. This monster masquerading in a human suit, doesn’t deserve to breathe the same air as the rest of us. There were other dogs bodies in the area, which means this person is a serial killer.
