Downey, CA – There is no holiday joy for a young German shepherd named Greico. The nearly three-year-old dog was surrendered by his family on November 18, and today, he sits on death row.
What was Greico’s horrible offense? His family told the shelter that he was hyper. Rather than putting in the necessary work to ensure that Greico would be a wonderful family companion, he was surrendered to a busy shelter where dogs are killed daily because there is no space.
And now, Greico is facing his own demise – for doing nothing other than be a young dog. An advocate writes:

Greico is a Majestic long tall medium length hair beauty . He would make an exceptional companion for a gsd lover who knows this breed.

That’s one of the biggest reasons people surrender young dogs. They are too lazy to walk their dogs!
People are despicable!!! Maybe they should have researched the GSD breed before getting one. Only f**King stupid people die this kind of thing!!! These kind of people SUCK!!!
Greico is a beautiful dog. I have had four Shepherds in my life time and have loved each and everyone. I was about twenty when I got my first GS, a eight week old puppy. I am now 79. They are remarkable dogs but do need training. I took three to training either I learned along with my dogs. The last one, a female, I trained myself without an instructor. If you get any breed, please read up on how to care for it and decide if it is right for you. I wish the best, forever home for Grecio asap!
