Milford, Maine – A 40-year-old woman from Havertown was arrested and is facing charges after her toddler and senior dog were found dead in a car in the parking lot of the Freshie’s gas station in Milford. According to sources, Kelly Brown’s three-year-old daughter, Fiona, and 13-year-old dog, Penelope, were found dead in a parked vehicle on Saturday night.
As reported by NBC Philadelphia, police located and arrested Brown Sunday morning in an area not far from where her car, and deceased child and pet, were found. It is believed that the child and dog were left in the car for approximately 15 hours.
Brown claims she left her pet and child in the car while she was collecting trash, and that she fell in the Penobscot River and was swept away. However the police looked at surveillance footage and her story did align with what the video showed. Brown’s family reported that she had been acting strange lately and had stopped taking medication for anxiety.
Brown was arrested and booked into the Penobscot County Jail on a charge of manslaughter with bail set at $50,000.

There are just a lot of questions that situations like this need answering. First of all, where is the father. We make a big mistake when we allow the state to award custody of a child and at the same time make the father out to be a villian and keep his distance from his child also. There needs to be as many people as possible to keep check on those that apparently have a history with mental issues. It seems that her family knew she had problems. She was crafty enough to fabricate a story that didn’t pan out. I hate it for the child, but also for the dog. Both where in the hands of a mentally unstable person. I also believe she should get a death sentence. We can say that it was her illness that is to blame. I don’t buy that. If you are sick you need to be on medication. That is your responsibility, that is why you need oversight from others. Because of this under sight we have a child and a senior dog that endured a horrible death.
Totally agree with you Randall. I personally am sick and fucking tired of people playing the mental health card when it suits them, but not being responsible enough to take their medication. Alternatively, they could reach out for help from friends and family members or medical professionals. I notice she didn’t have any trouble creating her elaborate excuse for her despicable behaviour, so there is clearly nothing wrong with her ability to think when required. Give the POS a “green needle”; Human Filth like her will not be missed.
This sentence needs correction: “However the police looked at surveillance footage and her story did align with what the video showed.” — Change “DID” to “DID NOT”.
ANY abuser or killer of a child or animal should die! Judges need to be more stringent and make examples of these deranged mother f-ers! Enough already no more torture killing and hot cars!!! Those perpetrators need to die because there’ll do it again if you don’t !!! Enough’!
