Peoria, Arizona – Years of complaints led to the discovery of more than 60 dogs living in squalor at a Peoria house. Neighbors report “non-stop barking” and a horrible smell coming from the Morningside Drive house that officials say was “unlivable.”

As reported by AZ Family, the authorities removed dozens of dogs from the house on Wednesday and found three dogs who had died. Peoria Police Officer Kristopher Babros said, “We have been out to this residence over 100 times the past couple years pertaining to several animal related incidents.”
As the investigation continues, officials will determine if animal cruelty charges are warranted. The surviving dogs were taken to various animal control kennels in the area, and care will be coordinated for the rescued dogs in conjunction with the Arizona Humane Society.

100 calls and this house wasn’t declared and animals rescued? This town failed everyone and why are people paying taxes to an entity that has failed so miserably? This town failed the animals, tax paying neighbors , the entire community has been failed. So tell us how many calls and site visits does it take to determine a thing just ain’t gonna get better? 150 200 300 calls? Those people receiving those calls and not finally getting those animals out and problem solved should be terminated because they either are in effective or they just don’t care either way termination is the only justice that can possibly be served. Respectfully, Justine E Schell
Why did it take so long to let it get this far with all these dogs!
What is wrong with this Police Dept. that they could not control this when it was just starting to get out of control! Now all animals suffer & the animal shelters/rescues suffer because of stupidity & ignorance!
So glad after 100 reports you finally checked this out.60 dogs the smell and noise should have brought you there earlier. Thank God the dogs were saved. As for the owners. a heavy fines for this Crultey and Max Jail time where KARMA can find these Bastards. Rthey are fined 10,000.00 per dog and in Jail no place here on earth for Scum like this .
Police and “animal control” depts. typically don’t want to bother with these “gross” cases, since it’s unpleasant and smelly, and if citizens intervene on their own they can be charged with trespassing, theft, etc., and then the police will get busy persecuting the rescuers, since that’s easy, clean work.
Two epic failures here, the state of Arizona for letting this go on for so long without doing anything after constant complaints and trips to the home by authorities proved this situation was out of control and abusive. Then there are the people themselves, letting this get to this point, watching 3 dogs literally die, without lifting a finger to do anything about this house of horrors. Owners should be paying all vet costs, rescue costs and fines followed by jail and a lifetime ban on animal contact. And Arizona should be fined for this asinine ‘we need to determine if this was abuse’ crap; it’s such obvious abuse you’d need to be dead to not see it!
THEYRE ALL PIECES OF SHIT!! SEE SONETHING, SAY SOMETHING, THEY DID NOTHING!! THEYRE JUST AS GUILTY! SOME FUCKING LAWS & AND A.C & POLICE. GO FCK YOURSELVES. GET A JOB CLEANING TOILETS!!
You’ve been to the house over 100 times yet never did anything about it? All involved here are disgusting. Bless all those innocent animals who were subjected to this.
“Authorities have been there over 100 times?!? They are just as guilty–shame on them.
AGREE! This didn’t happen overnight!!
Unbelievable!!! These people better be charged with ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!
