St. Louis, MO – An Oklahoma man is facing a slew of animal cruelty charges following the discovery of dead and dying dogs in the back of a box truck earlier this month. According to sources, 38-year-old Robert Peters went to a crematorium on July 11 to have four dogs cremated; staff at the crematorium contacted the authorities because it is unusual for one person to have that many animals in need of cremation at one time.
Responding officers found Peters and the box truck, which he explained was for his dog transportation business. In the back of the vehicle were more than a dozen dogs stacked in cages, many of the dogs were covered in feces and urine. Officers found the four dead dogs, seven dogs in “dire condition,” and five more dogs in stable condition, reports KOKO News.
A week later, Peters’ wife, Jessica was also charged with five counts of animal abuse by torture and 13 counts of animal abuse after investigators determined that she not only ran the transportation business with her husband but was aware of the conditions in the back of the box truck and had taken part in the deadly trip that resulted in the four dogs dying.
The surviving dogs were taken to the St. Louis Animal Control and Robert Peters was booked into the St. Louis City Justice Center on nine counts of animal abuse or, alternatively, torture and/or mutilation while an animal was alive. As of yet, there is no word on whether or not Jessica Peters was booked into jail.

what kind of psycho would let 4 dogs die and then want them cremated??? were they going to have a business that cremated and use the ashes to unknowing people, give them the dead dogs ashes and pretend they were their dog’s? it doesn’t make any sense. Where for two evil people find each other? Prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law, fine them and never allow them to have any animals
Robert & Jessica Peters: two pieces of shit.
