Bradenton, FL – Last week, a man was arrested and charged with animal cruelty after being caught beating a young, nine-week-old puppy. According to the Bradenton Police Department, staff at the Kava Social Club alerted a Bradenton Police Officer about their concerns for a puppy who was being abused by a man identified as 30-year-old Christian Cuello.
The Kava Social Club employees told the officer that:
“several customers saw Cuello grabbing the puppy’s neck and striking the dog in the face, before leaving the business. Employees reviewed security cameras and provided BPD with multiple videos of Cuello abusing the dog.”
The authorities added:
Employees reviewed security cameras and provided BPD with multiple videos of Cuello abusing the dog. The officer recognized the dog and located its owner, who said she’d left the puppy in Cuello’s care.
The police transported the puppy to a veterinarian for an exam, and the pup was returned to his owner. Cuello, who was on probation for another case, was taken to back to jail.
Any customers who witnessed Cuello’s behavior are asked to contact Officer Cerniglia at Anthony.Cerniglia@bradentonpd.com.
