Logan County, KY – A man has been identified and arrested after being caught on video hurling three young puppies over a fence last week at the Logan County Animal Care and Control. The shelter, working with the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, identified Peter Everhart as the man responsible for the cruel and deadly incident.
Tragically, all of the puppies thrown over the fencing died. According to the shelter, the puppies had puncture wounds on their body, but it is unclear exactly how they died. As reported by WSMV News, shelter staff do not believe the adult dogs inside the shelter fencing were responsible for the puppies’ deaths, but they cannot rule it out.
Everhart is facing multiple charges, including three counts of felony first-degree animal cruelty and three counts of misdemeanor second-degree animal cruelty.
