Man Charged after Police find Severely Emaciated Puppy During Traffic Stop

West Bridgewater, Massachusetts – A 27-year-old man is facing charges after police discovered a severely emaciated puppy in his car during a November traffic stop. According to the West Bridgewater Police Department, Devin Prepper was pulled over on November 24 for running a red light.

During the stop, an officer observed a “significantly underweight” dog in the vehicle. The dog, a nine-month-old pug named Sprout, was taken to a veterinarian for care and then transferred to the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts (APCSM) for continued care.
