Madison, Wisconsin – More than a dozen German shepherds, include adult dogs and puppies, were rescued from property in Lafayette County. As reported by WMTV 15 News, the dogs and puppies were living in a shed that had no lighting and living on food that was thrown on the floor.
Police have charged 37-year-old Jeslias Murillo-Lopez with 60 counts including: 18 counts of intentionally mistreating animals, 19 counts of intentionally failing to provide food for animals, 19 counts of intentionally having improper animal shelter/sanitation, three counts of bail jumping and mistreatment of animals causing death.
Police also found one deceased dog, a neglected kitten, and nearly a dozen sheep at the property. The rescued dogs were taken in by Green County Humane Society. The shelter’s Executive Director Erin Emery commented on the sad situation, “There was one deceased dog on the premises who had been deceased for quite some time, and they were feeding on the carcass, so that is considered evidence. They had a crime scene photographer on the scene who did extensive photographs of every dog, including the deceased.”
On October 28, the shelter let their Facebook followers know that the neglected German shepherds were safe and in their care:

One of the puppies is jet black and one is white. I wish I lived in WI. I would adopt one of them. Mom is stunning too. Would be mine too if I could afford 2. But if u r in need or a german shepherd this family looks awesome.
This monster needs to experience the same treatment as he subjected those innocent dogs. It should be a slow and painful death for him. Bless all the animals that crossed paths with this creep.
So many sick despicable people and what they do to animals is beyond belief!! they need to rot in jail. They don’t deserve anything after what they’ve done stringing them up put them in jail and never let them out.!!
