Roy, Washington – A Washington man caught on Ring video kneeing a Corgi named Doc has pleaded not guilty to a charge of Animal Cruelty in the 2nd Degree. On October 21, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office charged 31-year-old Luke McNeley after reviewing the disturbing footage that showed the man knee and punch the small dog, who can be heard screaming in pain.
Doc belongs to McNeley’s ex-girlfriend, and he was removed from her custody and taken to the local humane society for care. Court documents state that McNeley’s ex did not seek veterinary care for Doc even after seeing the damning video.
According to David Rose with Fox 13, McNeley pleaded not guilty and was released by Judge McCann. McCann told McNeley that he was released, “on your personal recognizance on conditions that you maintain law abiding behavior, have no similar incidents. You are not to have in your possession or control any animals at all.”
According to King 5 News, McNeley’s next court appearance is scheduled on December 8.

As a resident of Washington State I am appalled by this cowardly jerk, his awful girlfriend and this horrible judge. Letting people get away with crap like this is why we are not making a dent in animal abuse. This judge is a loser, probably supports poaching too. Both of these creeps should be paying fines, spending time in jail and absolutely need a lifetime ban on any animal contact in any way. This was so deliberate, so callous and so cruel that they don’t deserve any consideration from any court and should just go straight to jail. How do you dismiss a human killing a little dog for no reason? You don’t – jail them.
I meant to say ‘beating’ on a little dog, not killing, but same – jail. They should also be paying that poor dog’s vet bills.

Both McNeely and his ex-girlfriend are disgusting. I wish them nothing good neither one deserves the love of an animal.. I hope that poor corgi gets a better home. People like that need to be locked up. Animals will never be safe around them. The stupid judge did not do her part. This is why this escalates because there’s no strong consequences!!!

This creep needs to be treated in the same manner, but the ex-girlfriend and the judge are both pretty pathetic themselves. That innocent little pup deserves a much better life.
