Las Vegas, Nevada – A man has been arrested and is facing charges following a deadly incident in Las Vegas that left a horse dead and abandoned on the road in an east Las Vegas valley neighborhood. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the arrest of 62-year-old Guadalupe Camarillo Guarneros, who turned himself in at police headquarters on July 3.
Police had been searching for the driver of a white truck that was captured on video pulling a dark colored horse with white markings. The horse died and was left on the street.

Camarillo Guarneros was booked into Clark County Detention Center on one count of willful or malicious torture, maiming or killing of an animal. No word on why he was pulling the horse behind the truck, or why he abandoned the horse after it collapsed and died.
The investigation remains ongoing.
