Port Canaveral, FL – A Florida man finds himself behind bars after being caught slamming a small dog violently to the ground at the Gator’s Dockside. According to Sheriff Ivey, with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, 39-year-old Christopher Stanley was arrested last Thursday on multiple charges including animal cruelty, threatening a law enforcement officer with death/harm, resisting with violence, disorderly intoxication, breach of peach, criminal mischief, and violation of parole.
Stanley was arrested after someone at the restaurant said he charged her and threw a dog to the ground. The dog scampered away, whimpering, after the violent incident.
Responding deputies were able to cuff Stanley and he then threw his head back and head butted a patrol vehicle. As he was wrestled to the ground, he made violent threats to the officers.
The little dog, Wilson, was taken to a veterinarian to be evaluated for injuries.
