Update 6/17/2023: Rescued by Saving Hope Rescue!
Fort Worth, TX – Two happy pups, who a staff member has said are “must saves,” are on the list of dogs to be euthanized at a Fort Worth animal shelter today. On Thursday, the Facebook page, Code Red Animals of FWACC said:
‼️ LAST CALL ‼️ The following dogs will euthanized if not tagged by 12 pm and out of the building by 6 pm on Friday 6/16/23. Any animal not tagged and out of the building by these times are not considered safe.
And within the past few moments (11:35 a.m. PST), the same page updated followers with dire news:

update 1pm: staged pre-euthanasia. no tags; not safe. it’s after 12pm so any tag emails sent won’t guarantee the safety of a dog but please try anyways.
These dogs have been at the shelter since late April when their owner surrendered them.

you look at these 2 beautiful and happy dogs. the life in their eyes is palatable. you can feel it just looking at their pictures. how can people who these pets call family just dump them in a kill shelter and not give a damn knowing full well they will be killed. i don’t know how the people who work at these shelters can euthanize young healthy dogs and cats with no remorse or second thoughts. i wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if i had to do that for a living. just shows you how far the human race has fallen and continues to free fall.
NO SHELETER IS A SHELTER IF IT KILLS!! When will they stop misnaming themselves?! And what the hell is it with Texas?!! YOU SHOULN’T KILL HEALTHY DOGS OR PUPS!! BLOODY SORT YOURSELVES OUT AND GET YOUR PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!!!
